IMPORTANCE OF SHRAVAN MAAS
The month of Shravan is the fifth month of the Hindu calender beginning from Chaitra, and is the most auspicious month of the Chaturmas. On Purnima or fullmoon day, or during the course of the month the star 'Shravan' rules the sky, hence the month is called Shravan. This month is spread out with innumerably religious festivals and ceremonies and almost all the days of this month are auspicious.
Shravan is considered the holiest month of the year. Each monday of this month, known as Shravana Somvar, is a special day in Shiva temples where the dharanatra hangs over the linga or the idol to bathe it with holy water, day and night. Devotees pile the linga high with Bel leaves and flowers and fast till sunset. The nandadeep (24 hour lamp) burns steadily in the temples.

One of the name of Lord shiva is soma - saha uma. For the Lord someshvara Who wears the soma, the moon crescent on the matted hair, on the somavara day (Monday), this festival is observed.
Though all Mondays can be observed as vrat there are special mondays when it is much more emphasised to observe like the shravan Somvar and karthikai sOmavAr. According to skandha purANa, on the Mondays of the month kArthikai (mid Nov to mid Dec) this vrata is observed.

monsoons...
hi friend everybody like monsoon...i like monsoon very much...it's give very relex...
so let's khonw about monsoon..

IN MONSOON MY DEAR DEV ENJOING....A LOT...

Question: What Is a Monsoon?
Monsoon season is a welcome relief to drought conditions in many areas of the world. Monsoons can also bring about widespread famine and enough rain to kill hundreds of people in floods. While the Asia and India monsoons are famous, there are even monsoon season in the United States. So, what is a monsoon?
Answer: Monsoons, or rainy seasons, are a shift in wind direction which causes excessive rainfall in many parts of the world including Asia.
Why Do Wind Patterns Shift in a Monsoon?
Differential heating occurs when the sun heats the land and oceans. Incoming solar radiation heats landmasses faster than large bodies of water. In tropical and sub-tropical climates, solar heating is most intense in the summer months. As the land heats throughout the summer, a large low pressure system builds over the land.

History of Monsoon Studies.
The word monsoon is derived from the Arabic word mausim meaning season. The most famous monsoon is the Indian monsoon. The intense rainfall in these regions can cause massive flooding and destruction of crops. In dry climates, monsoons are an important replenishment for life as water is brought back into drought-stricken zones of the world. Part of the reason India gets such an intense monsoon season is due to its elevation.

How to get over sadness in our life?
hi friends i write today something about sadness,,,
because Right now my one of the friend is so much sad..so....
some idei in my mind..and share with you.
Many a times, the problem lies in the way , we view a certain situation. Every happening, every event, every opportunity in life, comes with its own pros and cons. How we choose to view it, most of the times, depends upon our attitude. Just like a glass of water, may appear half-full to some and half-empty to some, the same way, we may only be considering the negatives and choosing to ignore the positives.
I remember, a friend of mine, was stuck up in a low-paying, uninteresting job, and used to feel quite low about it. One day, we just discussed his situation and to our surprise, discovered a lot of positive things. The good things, which he had probably taken granted, till then were: he was only 20 minutes from his office, no late hours, very accommodating boss., while most of the people were spending 4-5 hours , just traveling to and from office. He was able to spend a lot of time with his family. And this discovery , immediately lifted his spirits, infact, he even stopped looking for a change. So, let?€™s concentrate on pros rather than cons !
Distract your thoughts
.If one is unable to analyze the situation with the clarity of thought required to break it down into positives and negatives, the other alternative is to busy oneself in other activities, preferably, things one enjoys doing, like listen to music, watch a movie, read a book, take a vacation with friend or family. Such distractions can actually un-hook us from the negative mindset.
Laugh out the Blues
There? no doubt that ?laughter is the best medicine? and one should take recourse into it, when everything else fails. Watch a funny movie, read a humorous book or just try remembering the most funny incident of your life. Just laugh your guts out and lighten the burden of negative thoughts.
Pen down your thoughts...
Another effective way of countering the blues, is penning down your thoughts. Most of the times, the triviality of the issue would immediately be evident , once you try writing it down. We generally try to follow a logical flow when we write , but in cases, where the negative mindset springs from illogical thinking, the same will become obvious when we try to pen it down.
Work the blues out
A vigorous work-out can actually be very effective in flushing out the negativities from the system. Go to the gym or better still , some aerobics at home, over your favourite number, will do the trick !!
Do Charity..ok>>
Selfless service, giving without any expectations, helping others and just brightening up someone?€™s else?€™s life are great stress busters. The joy of giving without expecting anything in return , has miraculous curative powers. The happiness that you will bring in someone else?€™s life will help you bond with the ultimate reality ?€“ Love !! Once you allow yourself to get fully submerged in love, there would be no place for hurt, sadness, grief?€?.. Let there be love and only love in your life. And remember that love holds no expectations, knows no boundaries?€?.it is the Universe?€?the supreme reality !!
Finally, just think, how much worse, it could have been?€?.Try to feel good and grateful for what you have. Think of the millions of children , starving to death in Somalia, think of the millions who are jobless, think of those whose lives have never been, distantly brushed by any form of love and care?€?think of those who have lost everything in life?€?..Don’t you find yourself so much better off !!

Himalaya
History of Himalayas
The Himalayas are not merely a geographical feature, a range of mountains; they epitomise a people’s civilisational identity that goes back to the dawn of history. If these majestic mountains were not there, the rain clouds sweeping up from the Indian Ocean would have passed over the Indian subcontinent into central Asia leaving it a burning desert.
Archaeological evidence reveals that urban civilisation first emerged in the valleys of the rivers coursing down from the Himalayan mountains. When man elsewhere was cautiously emerging from his cave shelters, spectacular cities flourished at Mohenjodaro and Harappa in the Indus valley.
English climbers were the first ones to conquer the Mouth Everest debacle. Before World War IInd, three English expeditions were sent to the north of Himalayas, which is the Tibetan side of the Mount Everest. Twice the climbers reached the altitude of 8,600m, but unfortunately failed to summit.
The southern side of the Mount Everest, that is the Nepalese side of the mountain was opened to the mountaineers after World War IInd. After the occupation of Tibet by China, the mountaineering expeditions toward Mount Everest began from the Nepalese side. On 29th May, 1953, after three decades of immense attempts, man finally reached the highest-lying point on Earth. The winning team of the first climbers of the Mount Everest consisted of Newzealander Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa.
